His 2007 feature debut 'Frontier(s)' (AKA 'Frontière(s)') was a brutal account of a young pregnant girl's fight for survival at an 'out-of-town' motel owned by an inbred family of neo-Nazis. Tensions heightened further by the underpinning theme which runs adjacent to a backdrop of political unease in Paris. Gens' apocalyptic vision 'The Divide' goes one step further as a group of survivors hold up in the basement of their building as the city around them is decimated through a nuclear attack.
